History

The Architectural practice of Fabian Architects, established in Cape Town since 1974, has developed the expertise and experience to carry out the full range of professional services from concept design through design development, production documentation and project management in all fields of the built environment.

Located in the heart of Cape Town’s developing and new established commercial CBD, the penthouse office suite is located in one of the many urban precincts and surrounded by numerous buildings designed by the firm.

Expertise

Fabian Architects’ collective expertise, local knowledge, design reputation and – coupled with its enthusiasm – professional approach, has placed it in the position of being a significant participant in the building professions in Cape Town.

Notably work has been undertaken for a wide range of clients including numerous private and institutional property investment and development companies in Cape Town, Johannesburg and London.

Knowledge

Local knowledge in the form of relationships with key figures within the local authorities, planning personnel and application industry; insight into and experience with regulations and by-laws; experience with the changing socio-economic landscape of the City and excellent background in varied types of building construction under local conditions.

Production

Design and production methodology evolves through creativity being balanced with experience in the makeup of the project teams, enhancing the process by which our ideas become reality. Fabian Architects have a high conversion rate of ideas to brick and mortar – clients’ dreams don’t remain exciting presentation concepts.

Interior design is undertaken in collaboration with its MAKE Interiors division located within the offices.

Design

Design and documentation production divisions provide a quality service and include 15 Architects, 5 Interior Designers, 10 Senior Draughtsmen, a fully operational CAD department, backed up by efficient administrative, clerical staff and affective human resources.

Resumes of key personnel to be assigned to a particular project will be established in conjunction with the Client in order to harness the most appropriate skills within the group.

Our Responsibilities

With regard to the sound responsibility component of our firm, we should point out a number of programmes within the office aimed at educating and training both within our staff component and externally where sponsorships to students at various educational institutions have been undertaken
